Barb is originally from
Prince George, BC where she graduated with
the highest clinical standing from the
College of New Caledonia Dental Hygiene
program. Over the last 15 years, she has
worked in private practice, education,
community health, and now as office manager.
Her past volunteer positions with the
College of Dental Hygienists and the British
Columbia Dental Hygienist Association have
given her valuable experiences in her
profession. She currently volunteers as a
fitness instructor and as a Board member for
the Steveston Community Society. When not
managing the office, Barb enjoys running,
cycling, and spending time with her husband
and three children in beautiful Steveston.
Monica was born in Vancouver and now lives
in Delta with her husband Jason. She is
a graduate of the British Columbia Institute
of Technology dental reception program and
holds a diploma from an International Studies
Program. Monica’s smiling voice is
the first thing you’ll hear when you
phone or walk in the door. In her spare
time she loves to ski, travel and decorate.
Janice is originally from Ontario and
moved to British Columbia with her family in
1977. She started her career in dentistry as
a dental assistant and has since changed her
position to dental receptionist. Janice is
happily married with two children and enjoys
reading, movies, horseback riding and
camping.
Brittney was born in Calgary but was raised in Richmond. She is currently a student at at Kwantlen University College studying her third year of Psychology. Brittney enjoys staying active by doing yoga, pilates, and being outdoors. Her passions are travelling and being an active volunteer at her church, St. Joseph the Worker.
Natalie is originally
from Quebec City but has called Vancouver
home since 1989. She brings along with her
sixteen years of experience and knowledge in
general, periodontal and cosmetic
dentistry. In her spare time she loves to
play golf and travel the world.
Rachel was born in Abbotsford but has
called Vancouver her home for the last
several years. She attended the University
College of the Fraser Valley before
graduating from the Vancouver Community
College Dental Hygiene
program. She also holds a Bachelor in
Dental Science from the University of
British Columbia. Rachel loves to stay
active and enjoys outdoor activities such as
jogging, swimming and snowboarding. She also
enjoys traveling the world and experiencing
different cultures.
Joanne was born and raised in Richmond. She attended Simon Fraser University and completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. A couple years later, Joanne completed her Dental Hygiene diploma in Toronto and has been working at Ironwood Dental ever since. In her spare time, Joanne enjoys spending time with family and friends and staying active.
Born and raised in Richmond, Alyssa attended the UBC direct entry Dental Hygiene program before spending two years clinically at Vancouver Community College. She graduated top of her class both academically and clinically and is currently finishing her Bachelor’s degree in Dental Sciences at UBC. Alyssa loves to travel and spending time with friends and family. She is looking forward to joining dental humanitarian projects in the future and is always ready to learn new skills and engage in new activities.
Lana is originally from Russia
where she worked as a Mechanical Engineer.
In 1995 her and her family moved to
Vancouver, where she studied at Vancouver
Community College to become a certfied
Dental Assistant. Lana joined Ironwood
Dental in 2001 and enjoys interaction with
patients. Not only does she assist
clinically, but she also does lots of work
in the reception area as well. Lana likes to
spend time with her husband and children
traveling, swimming and reading.
Katie was born in Oakville, Ontario, but
has lived in Richmond since she was a young
child. She has completed the dental
assisting program at the Vancouver Community
College, as well as received training both
nationally and internationally. In her spare
time, Katie enjoys being with her family and
friends, going to the gym, and being
outdoors.
Courtney was born in Vancouver and has lived there ever since. She graduated from the Certified Dental Assisting program at Vancouver Community College in 2007. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing and travelling.
Patricia was born and raised in Havana, Cuba. She graduated from CDI college in Vancouver and really enjoys being a dental assistant. When it comes to her patients, she believes in treating them with respect, tender-loving care and pampering. In her free time she likes to dance, play tennis, rollerblade and spend time with her family.
