With Digital Smile Design, you get the chance to **‘trial’ your new future smile** before you even decide to go ahead with your dental treatment. It’s an exciting moment and **we’re proud** to offer it for you at **Ironwood Dental Care**. By seeing and experiencing how your **new smile** could make you look and feel, you start to understand the real impact that it could have on your **life and your confidence**. [ Book Your Test Drive ](https://www.ironwooddental.com/contact) ## Here’s what to expect from a smile ‘test drive’... ![A man smiling before his dental treatment with Digital Smile Design.](https://f.hubspotusercontent10.net/hubfs/3439767/Storylines_Brief/Images/treatment01.png) ![An on-screen simulation of a patient's new smile with Digital Smile Design. ](https://f.hubspotusercontent10.net/hubfs/3439767/Storylines_Brief/Images/treatment02.png) ![A 3D-printed model of a patient's new smile using Digital Smile Design.](https://f.hubspotusercontent10.net/hubfs/3439767/Storylines_Brief/Images/treatment03.png) ![A patient smiling to show his new smile created using Digital Smile Design.](https://f.hubspotusercontent10.net/hubfs/3439767/Storylines_Brief/Images/treatment04.png) ## Experience your own new smile In four easy steps... ### 1. We scan your teeth and mouth ##### 1 Using scanning and imaging technology, we produce an image of your teeth and your mouth. We also take photos and videos of you from every angle so that we can really understand your smile and how to make it right for you. This all forms the basis for our smile analysis and design. ![Dr Sheena Sood looking at an on-screen scan of a patient's teeth at Ironwood Dental Care.](https://www.ironwooddental.com/hubfs/IDC_Test_Drive_Carousel_01.jpg) ### 2. We design your tailor-made smile ##### 2 We use these digital images and combine them with your expectations for how you want your new smile to look. Then, our smile designers can get started on putting together your treatment plan and designing a new smile that is healthy, functional and **custom made** to suit your specific face. You can work alongside us as the ‘co-designer’ of your own smile, making the changes you want to the colour or shape of your teeth to get a design you’re completely happy with. ![The design of a patient's teeth on the Digital Smile Design app.](https://www.ironwooddental.com/hubfs/IDC_Test_Drive_Carousel_02.jpg) ### 3. We 3D-print a replica smile ##### 3 Then, before any treatment begins, we use technology to show you your new smile – off screen. We take our design and, with **3D printing technology**, we produce a model smile which you can ‘wear’ over your own teeth. ![A close-up of natural-looking teeth created using Digital Smile Design.](https://www.ironwooddental.com/hubfs/IDC_Test_Drive_Carousel_03.jpg) ### 4. You try on your ‘trial smile’ ##### 4 When your mock-up smile is in place, you become the star in your own photo session. Seeing yourself and your new smile in photos and videos for the first time is a **life-changing moment**… and we can’t wait for you to experience it! ![IDC_Test_Drive_Carousel_04](https://www.ironwooddental.com/hubfs/IDC_Test_Drive_Carousel_04.jpg) ## The DSD difference is clear And when you get to be the ‘co-designer’ of your own smile… There’s certainly a lot to smile about! ![A Digital Smile Design patient smiling and looking down at the floor.](https://www.ironwooddental.com/hubfs/IDC_Test_Drive_Two_Colums_Img.jpg) ## An ideal smile unites form and function ![An icon of an eye.](https://www.ironwooddental.com/hubfs/FORM@3x_V2.svg) ![An icon of a machine cog.](https://www.ironwooddental.com/hubfs/FUNCTION@3x_V2.svg) **To make it ‘right’ for you, we have to take into account how a smile looks and how it functions. It’s about creating a smile that is strong, healthy and custom made to suit you. ** Before, dentists would compile a treatment plan and get started, with no way for the patient to preview their result and know whether it would be right for them. Now, things are different… ![A red heart.](https://www.ironwooddental.com/hubfs/Heart%20Shape@3x_V3-01.svg) When you see and experience your beautiful **new smile**, right at the start, you get a real feel for the impact it could have on your life and your **confidence**. ![A red heart.](https://www.ironwooddental.com/hubfs/Heart%20Shape@3x_V3-01.svg) When you see and experience your beautiful **new smile**, right at the start, you get a real feel for the impact it could have on your life and your **confidence**. ## To see where your treatment is headed… [![A car engine start button in green.](https://cdn2.hubspot.net/hubfs/3439767/Storylines_Brief/Images/IMG_BG-1.png) ![A car engine start button in green.](https://f.hubspotusercontent10.net/hubfs/3439767/Storylines_Brief/Images/Button-IMG.png) ENGINE START --- STOP ![](https://f.hubspotusercontent10.net/hubfs/3439767/Storylines_Brief/Images/Light%20Effect@2x.png) ](https://www.ironwooddental.com/contact) [ Book Your Test Drive ](https://www.ironwooddental.com/contact) What can you do if you have no confidence ![A Digital Smile Design patient smiling happily to show her new smile.](https://www.ironwooddental.com/hubfs/IDC_Test_Drive_CTA_Img.jpg) ![A Digital Smile Design patient smiling happily to show her new smile.](https://www.ironwooddental.com/hubfs/IDC_Test_Drive_CTA_Img.jpg) Everything starts with a smile ![Digital Smile Design logo.](https://cdn2.hubspot.net/hubfs/3439767/Storylines_Brief/Images/DSD_Logo@3x.svg) ![Digital Smile Design logo.](https://f.hubspotusercontent10.net/hubfs/3439767/Storylines_Brief/Images/DSD_Logo.svg) will help you regain confidence in your smile.
